Estimate a growing library over twelve months. These prefilled prices are artificial examples, not market rates. Replace them with your supplier’s prices in a single currency. Changing the currency label does not convert prices. Decimal GB and Mbps are used throughout; convert GiB-priced rates before entering them (1 GiB = 1.073741824 GB).

Each bitrate must be above 0 and at most 1000; up to 12 renditions.

Edit the example, then calculate. Empty prices are errors; an entered zero is allowed.

Worked example and assumptions

With 100 GB already stored, ten upload hours per month, an 8 Mbps retained original and renditions of 5, 2 and 1 Mbps in one format, storage grows by 72 GB/month. At the example prices above, month one costs 28.08, month twelve 51.84, and the twelve-month sum 479.52 in the selected currency. Both generated formats increase growth to 108 GB/month, because originals are retained once and generated renditions twice.

Model peertube-v1.0 assumes uniform uploads, no deletions, constant viewing and unchanged prices. Each month bills the integrated storage above its allowance, including months that cross it. Additional backups use average stored bytes and full-copy equivalents. Viewing GB = 0.45 × viewing hours × playback Mbps. P2P starts at zero and is a scenario assumption, never promised savings. The whole processing-workload factor is charged once, without multiplying it by rendition count again.

One primary storage and one delivery arrangement are modelled. Separate origin/edge CDN bills, request fees, minimum charges, tiered prices and tax need separate treatment; put known costs in Other. Object storage is distinct from local scratch space for downloads, uploads and transcoding. A 20% planning margin is capacity advice, not an automatic billed-storage increase.
